Fridge warm, freezer cold (or vice versa)

Often a fan, thermostat, or defrost fault — not always a dead compressor. Check the vents aren't blocked by food first, then call if it stays warm.

Washer leaking or not draining

Check the drain hose and filter. Leaks from the door seal or pump need a tech before water damages the floor.

Dryer not heating or taking too long

A clogged vent is the most common cause — and a fire risk. Don't keep running a dryer that overheats.

Dishwasher not draining or cleaning

Check the filter and drain hose. Standing water or a bad pump needs diagnosis before the next cycle.

Oven not heating evenly

Often a heating element, igniter, or temperature sensor. Uneven baking that keeps getting worse is worth a diagnosis.
